Creating fossils

We have been learning about fossils and this week we created our own leaf skeletons.We collected a variety of leaves and covered them with foil, then used a soft brush to get rid of any air bubbles which exposed the leaves skeleton. Finally we rubbed the whole fossil with oil pastels so that the skeleton would stand out. Once our art piece was completed we wrote about what we had learnt about fossils.
